The Chabushi is a traditional soup at south area of Satsuma peninsula in Kagoshima which isn't so known

the Chabushi 【A interesting combination of dried bonito and green tea】
The Chabushi is a traditional soup at south area of Satsuma peninsula in Kagoshima prefecture. It is eaten in small area, even the Ohsumi peninsula people don't know the name. It is a very minor food. We think the soup was born because Makurazaki where is famous for dried bonito and Chiran where is famous for green tea are in the area.
It is easy to make. Put dried bonito and wheat miso into a cup, and water green tea on them. Because the Shinsyu miso taste too strong, it don't suit for the Chabushi. The wheat miso is best for the Chabushi. All of materials are made in Kagoshima. How to enjoy eating the Chabishi is :

(1)After watering green tea, wait a minutes. Drink green tea with the aroma of miso and broth. This time never mix them yet.
(2)Water green tea again and mix them. Drink the miso soup with green tea. And eat half dried bonito.
(3)Water green tea again and eat all dried bonito which tastes miso.

There is no rule how to eat, so you don't have to do this method. When you don't have enough time, mix at once and drink. Take it easy.
