【They are playful and they a cute popular candy】
　We think there is no one who don't know the Pomelo candy as a time-tested souvenirs of Kagoshima in Japan. It is very famous candy. It shapes like a caramel with the wafer paper. It is chewy moderately and it has a sweet and sour taste. It is too unique candy made by Seika Foods Co Ltd., so there is no similar candy. This candy has a funny birth unknown episode. When thier boss looked an employee cut a turkish delight smaller as a play, he originated the new candy. In general he was yelled and scolded "Don't play with merchandise!". But it was a good company which started after the war while labor and management worked together even they had nothing. Their superior had a mischievous mind and made new candy. It is just a this company's color. We sometimes call them, and we feel that all of them work with pleasure powerfully. They are considering the producing place of rice, the water temperature and so on at all time. Their making spirit is probably from the relative like a family.
　The Hyoroku rice cake (the Hyourokumochi) is a sister article of the Pomelo candy. People who live out of Kagoshima don't knouw about this candy at all. But this is also a longtime seller candy. To explain about its taste is too hard for us, but it has the Japanese style taste which adds tea, soybean flour, and the dried seaweed and is divided by 3. After we explained so, we found an indication on the box which was written "This is made from tea, soybean flour, the dried seaweed・・・". Do I have a good palate, don't I? Because its taste is unique, there are both of people who likeit and who dislike it. But there many lover. The other day a woman had bought 2 boxes for herself, but her husband ate all in a night and she couldn't eat only one piece. ^_^;)q And there is a bookmark in a big box. It has a part of the Ooishi Hyoroku Fantastic Story and an illustration. It seems by presumption all the 23 kinds. To collect them is a pleasure for lovers.
　The Hyourokumochi has an interesting anecdote too. We are seeing the illustration of the package for a long time, and we feel the illustration is natural. But the GHQ have called for a retake immediately after the end of the war. The most easy to understand was "Hyoroku mustn't wear the Japanese swords". Another funny N.G. was "Never show his hips". It wasn't certain whether a man in the Seika Foods Co Ltd. told "Nooooooooooo! He wear a underwear. This is a Fundoshi. This is a Japanese shorts. He wear the shorts! The shorts, the shorts, the shooooooooorts!" or not. But he explained and persuaded that he wear a underwear and the swords wasn't for a war. It was a lucky thing that a man of GHQ was an understanding person.

＜Ooishi Hyoroku Fantastic Story＞
　This story is a satire. This was written by Mouri Masanao(1761-1803) in the middle of the Edo era. This may be the most famous story in the Satsuma literature because of the Hyoroku rice cake. Hyoroku is a protagonist of the story.
