It is a limited syochu liquor. The name "Satsumafuji" expresses Mt.Kaimondake. This mountain is said to look like Mt.Fuji most in the mountains which include a word "fuji" in the name.
When the brewer made this shochu liqueur, they started to remake the old tools at first. Of course, it is made in a jar, distilled in the wooden cask and matured in a jar.
It give a sweet taste of sweetpotato strongly. The reprinted label at the time of first Syowa era looks better.

It is sold only in Kagoshima prefecture. The Nourin No.2 sweetpotato is an old sweetpotato which made the registration of variety at the first of Syowa era. The words "Wazzeka Imo" on the card is a Kagoshima dialect means the special sweetpotato.
The aroma is bright and clear like citrus fruits and jasmine. It don't give a heavy feeling of sweetpotato. It tastes clear like raw sweetpotato not like boiled sweetpotato. Because it is too strong to drink with nothing, we recommend to drink with hot water.

It taste soft, but give the taste of sweetpotato clearly. It is a little hot.

The standard Shinkaiunagi (the Koganesengan sweetpotato, Black) has a yellow label, this Shinkaiunagi with the red label make a little because the producing amount of Aka sweetpotato is small. It make 300 bottles a month. It is made in a jar.
The label which say "Understand this is Unagi as soon as looking" is lovery. The label is famous for a Japanese paper which the handicappedes handmade.

It is a funny syochu liqueur, because it is sold only in Kagoshima prefecture and Yamagata prefecture. We don't know why, but Yamagata people love Mr.Saigou and the Shimazu clan. There is a department store named "the Yamakataya" in Kagoshima city. It is loved deeply by Kagoshima people. When there was no department store in Kagoshima, Kagoshima people asked Yamagata people to give a know-how and a Yamagata man started the store. Kagoshima people and Yamagata people are good friends.
It taste cool.

Because it is sold soon from making, it is sold only at the end of the year. People think it will taste coarse and young, but it has a sweet taste in fact.
