The Yokinoyaki Pottery was an old traditional craft of the Tanegashima island where is known the place that the matchlock came from a foreign country first in Japan. But the traditional craft was lost once in the Meiji Era. And a man said that the fire must not be lost and revived again with hard effort. Because he worked hard and hard, at last he become a superior woodturner who is said the top 5 positions for woodturner in Japan. Every his art has a vary face, and it looks speaking something. Its shape is brave, spectacular, taciturnity and honest as a Satsuma samurai. The Pottery is the more use long the more glossy. It let feel that is already with you. Its mysterious existence in a casual way is famous for the people.
It have a practical use. We are sometimes said "It is easy to use. Whenever I drink something, I usualy use one. It fit my own hands." by the customer.
We never express all charm completely. If you have any time, please visit our shop and watch on your hands.
We sell them in our shop, so when you order it seldom be sold out. Because they are handmade, there is no same one. All of them have the different size, color, and shape. Not all we send you the Yokinoyaki Pottery just same as the photo. The size we showed in the Detailed information is an instance. The size vary widely. Of course only one Pottery will be sent same as the photo. Please enjoy the change of each one.
The general pottery can not accept a custom-made, but our pottery accept it because their technique is excellent. But they have to start to select clay for each Pottery, you must wait over 2 month. Even so you want an original one only for you, don't hesitate to ask.
