It is a souvenir made at Yanedan village in Ohsumi peninsula. Because all Yanedan people had a dream that they travelled abroad together, and they produced the Koganesengan sweetpotato and sold Yanedan shochu liqueur made from the sweetpotato. Then they travelled Korea at last. The success story as the economic development of a village gather many mission to inspect from all Japan. Even foreiger often come Yanedan for an inspection. Yanedan people prodeced some souvenirs. One of them is the Yanedan toothpick stand for them. A Japanese character "Yanedan" are written on the side, and Korean character are also written on below them small. It may show many Korean mission to inspect.
It isn't of exquisite workmanship at all and never be a high-quality articles. Its simplicity is the best point. The size whould be good for an one's official seal case at the front door.
