Itemaru is a mascot character (Yuru-chara) of Kimotsuki towm. On the other hand, the town has another mascot character named Hayabusame-kun. We don't know why the town made the Itemaru business card only. Both of them use same motif. They are the Kohyama Yabusame festival held by old Kohyama town and the Uchinoura rocket base in old Uchinoura town. The Kohyama Yabusame festival is known as the logest history among Yabusame festival in Japan. It began at Muromachi era and continues to today without intermission for good harvests. People wondere it is held among private citizens. By the way, the Kamakura Yabusame festival began at Kamakura era and famous for the oldest Yabusame festival. But it was tout of play for a long long time, in these days it began again. So Kamakura is am inferior to Kohyama in the historical length.
